Tomas Maier, Creative Director of Bottega Veneta, and Jack Pierson were amongst the judges panel for the New Exposure Competition. This is not however the first time they’re joining their forces as they previously worked together to capture the joy of Bottega Veneta’s SS12 Collection. Watch here the video
Born in Bolzano, Italy, Vera graduated in product design from the “Politecninco di Milano” and concluded her studies with a photography program at the “CFP Bauer of Milan.” She has lived and worked as a photographer in Milan, Paris and New York City – where she currently resides.
Stian Foss was born in Arendal, Norway October 1977 and attended The Norwegian College of Photography. Upon graduating the School of Visual Arts in 2010, he assisted notable photographers like Craig McDean, Hedi Slimane and Mikael Jansson. Stian resides in New York with his wife and their 3-year old daughter.
Born and raised in Nebraska, Nick Heavican didn’t have formal training and considers himself self-taught. Upon moving to New York, Brooklyn specifically, he worked in a lab, camera shop and a few studios before graduating to assistant work. Peter Beard’s images of Africa is what made him know that he wanted to be a photographer, but it is Helmut Newton’s work that inspires him every day.
Rayan Ayash’s passion for photography grew from a fascination with creating and capturing individuals at their utmost beauty. Drawing inspiration from the infinite nuances of femininity as well as from the legends such as Ritts, Avedon and Watson.
At 21 years old, Ayash’s artistic raison d’etre is to convey the limitless beauty of women.
